Armed Forces Memorial is finalist in Lottery Good Causes Awards
The Armed Forces Memorial has now entered the finals for a prestigious
award that recognises the nation’s favourite Lottery-funded projects. Following
a magnificent public voting
response in June and July, the Memorial, which forms part of the National
Memorial Arboretum near Lichfield, scored very highly.
Support is now once again required from the thousands of people who voted
previously and from everyone else who would like to see the Memorial scoop the
highest accolade.
Between the 21st July and 8th August, votes can be registered at www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/awards
by clicking through to the Best Heritage Project category and selecting
Armed Forces Memorial or by phoning 0845 386 4459.
The Memorial is competing against two other finalists in the Best Heritage
Project category. The winner will be announced during a special Saturday night
BBC One Lottery show in late August.
